Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life (Winter)

Just the first minutes makes you wanna cry. If you’ve been a fan of the series since their first beginning, you will remember those familiar notes. And like it happened to me and some friends of mine, you will start to cry and get all emotional.

We have this shot of the gazebo and Lorelai with a cup of coffee, as we know her, and Rory will arrive shortly after. They start to talk super fast, as they’ve known for, and then they go around the town talking about all the weird things happening.

Nothing much happens in this episode still I cried a lot through it. When we see Emily and how she is dealing with the pain of losing her husband and honestly all those flashbacks from the funeral and after funeral were really hard to see.

As we all know, Edward Herrmann, died back in 2014 and we all can see that those tears, that we see in our beloved characters, are actually from the real person behind them.

As we go through the episode, we notice that Lorelai is not the same, she is not keeping any cook in the Dragonfly Inn, after Sookie left. This is making Michel going crazy.

Rory is moving around, she doesn’t have anymore a “home” she stays to Lorelai’s, or to Lane’s, or to Emily’s, or to..Logan’s when she is in London.

That was a big twist of the episode, Logan and Rory are secretly seeing each other even if they’re both in relationships.

Now, I don’t wanna be judgemental, but this is not the Rory that we knew, I understand she is lost but nope. When I saw it the first time I didn’t wanna believe how immature she was acting, but at the end, I understand where the writers wanted to bring these.

In this episode we meet Paul, the guy that everybody keeps forgetting, I don’t even understand why did they even create a character like this one.

And then we have one of the biggest return that we needed: PARIS FREAKING GELLER. And she works in a fertility clinic? That’s just perfect. Poor Luke, he couldn’t understand what he needed to do with those girls.

At the same time, Rory is working on a book with an English woman that everybody keeps telling her that she is..something.

We can see that Help Alien are still rocking and the little boys of Lane and Zac are helping them out.

At the same time the episode it’s working around this “lucky” dress that Rory has but can’t find and one of the best quote from the episode is between Rory and Lorelai when the last one says to her that any outfit without underwear is the lucky outfit.

At the end of the episode, Lorelai goes to apologise to Emily about what happened at the funeral and we see Emily IN JEANS. Just like, the best thing ever. She suggests to the mother that she should go to therapy and at the end Emily makes Lorelai accept to go to therapy with her in a tricky way.

Overall it was a nice episode to start and put the fundamental for the 4 little movies but something was off already and that was the decision for Rory’s storyline, cause she is 32 not 22.

I understand that Amy and Daniel decided to kind of not consider the 7th season, apart from Lane’s children, but this is not the Rory that they built for 6 seasons. I liked Logan when they were 20 and they were going on adventures and do reckless things but not now.
This was a disappointment.

Emily is the best, Kelly Bishop deserves an Emmy for this interpretation of Emily, you can totally see how much she loved the character and how hard she worked on it.

Same goes to Lauren, Lorelai journey is just at the beginning but you can see that she is dealing with the death of Richard in a way that nobody can understand, not even Rory.

For the rest, I love that crazy town and every single person in it.

Coming soon, Spring…

It’s fall, that means pumpkins, Halloween, people rushing to Starbucks to get their PSL and for those people that love TV Shows, it’s the exciting season of the shows that will come back with a brand new season and the NEW shows that you’ve been talking about all summer and can’t wait to give it a try.

Let’s talk about THIS IS US:

This is us is a brand new show from the brilliant minds of Dan Fogelman (Cars, Tangled, The Neighbors, Crazy Stupid Love), the plot is based on two different story line but the same family. You see Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) celebrating the birthday of the last one and at the same time, you see other three people (Randall, Kate and Kevin) celebrating their birthday on the same day.

Rebecca goes into labour while she was dancing for Jack so she is rushed to the hospital to give birth to her triplets.

“I’m gonna need everyone in this room to believe that only good things are going to happen today. Actually, I need you to know it.”

You found out lately that the three other adults celebrating their birthday are actually Rebecca and Jack’s sons.

I don’t wanna give too much away cause the show is way too good and you need to enjoy, what I can say is that in the past 10 years we had shown only about vampires and witches and werewolves. We didn’t have a really good family show, that makes you think about our world, in a while.

This is Us takes that topic like obesity, family issues, race and makes it all unbelievable amazing. (and it’s been just three episodes) and love who you are no matter what and that family is the most important thing.

The cast, of course, it’s spectacular: Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Justin Hartley, Gerald McRaney and more.

I absolutely suggest this, it’s an amazing tv show and we don’t have those nowadays.

Will we ever be tired of FRIENDS?

Will we ever be tired of FRIENDS?

“Friends” is definitely the best TV comedy ever. You’ve watched it 3000 times and still you laugh at the same jokes, you know every episode by heart, you quote the TV show on a daily basis but still you don’t get bored by it. Does it happen to me only?

I still laugh at every stupid Chandler’s joke. I still get all giggly when Rachel and Ross kiss for the first time and when Chandler and Monica get together.

I just love this TV show. It is such an epic show.

I remember when I watched the last episodes for the first time and I started to cry (my-usual-emotional-self).

When I feel like super down, I just put one episode of this AMAZING tv show and just press play.

My flatmate asked me once “Why do you record the episode when they air it 3 times per day?” and me “Cause I really wanna see it!”

I just love the main song, I think I never truly understood the words till now when you are broke, with a shitty job and the only good things are family and friends:

“So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job’s a joke, you’re broke, your love life’s D.O.A.
It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, but
I’ll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I’ll be there for you
(Like I’ve been there before)
I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)”

How you doin,

Jana Kramer: her story, her strenght

I think I’ve said it so many times in previous posts how much One Tree Hill (tv show) changed my life in better (and since lately, my life didn’t go in any direction, I feel like I should rewatch it), I haven’t been inspired only by the characters but by the actors too. I’ve supported all of them in any kind of thing they were doing: music or movies or independent movies or appearance in other shows.

So as a fan of the TV show, I am following Jana Kramer’s journey in DWTS (Dancing with the Stars) and she has been so vulnerable and great that I am really inspired by her strength.jana-kramer-e-660

In the past months, she went through a really public divorce, her husband, with whom she has a little daughter (Jolie), cheating on her several times and apparently he is in rehab for sex addiction at the moment. He did apologise on People magazine but that’s not the story that I wanna talk about.

I’ve followed Jana since her decision to leave the show to pursue her music career and she became such a great country artist with two amazing albums.

And now, she honestly talked about her previous marriage, 10 years has been gone and a lot happens, she said that her ex-husband was abusive and almost killed her, he went to jail for it and after he was released, he killed himself.

Jana, you WEREN’T selfish to think that it was a relief, he almost killed you so he probably had more problem that you could understand if he ended his life. I just wanna say, you’re an inspiration, keep going on what you’re doing cause you’re doing amazing.

Your songs inspired billion of people, I included. You were one of the few singers that helped me in a really bad time of my life and even now, where I am losing my way, I see your strength and I love it, it’s inspiring.

We live in a world where most artists show themselves in a way that it’s not classy at all. Thank you, Jana, for being one of those few artists that show her true self and she is not afraid to be vulnerable.

Love, I still believe in you,

Beauty and The Beast: Season 1-4 The end!

A few days ago I’ve finished the last season of B&B and even
if they started well with this season at the end, you could have seen throughout the season, that they just wanted to bring back some memories from the previous seasons.ccfeabc7669c87284650b2cea8454ec1.jpg

Kristen & Jay kept their chemistry since the 1st season and they made this couple grow even through all the obstacles!

The production of the TV show was supposed to finish two seasons ago but the fans were so into it that started petitioning like crazy and so they gave another season, a season that we all thought was the last one but.. it wasn’t.

We saw Vincent & Cat as a new couple. We saw them as exes. We saw them falling in love again. We saw them getting (finally) married. We saw them, at the end, as a married

The last episode was really good. They made you think that it’s over but it actually isn’t. And you see me going “no, cmon! Another all season for what? Killing them?! That’s not true. Can’t be.” I was laughing instead of crying. Plus the last minutes are absolutely what made the show what it was, the fact that no matter what and no matter where VinCat are made for save beauty-and-the-beastothers.

Another great thing about the show is the soundtrack, since season 1 they used some covers of famous songs to the original ones that gives you goosebumps:

  • Calling all angels – Train
  • Wherever you will go – Charlene Soraia ( AMAZING COVER!)
  • One – Ed Sheehan (in one of the most romantic scene of the show)
  • Latch – Natalie Taylor

and more..

But those ones are my fav.

Farewell Beauty and The Beast, I loved this ride with you,

OTH DAY: 13 years

Happy One Tree Hill Day to all my OTH FAM.

God this show, I will never be tired to explain how much it helped through my life and still does.

How much I see myself in a lot of quotes that the character say. How much I see a bit of myself in every single one of the (main) girls: Brooke, Peyton, Haley.

I couldn’t be more thankful to Mark Schwahn for creating a show that makes you feel like home, I mean look now, 13 years after and we still going to a convention, actors still mention the show without any regrets. Singers are thankful for the show that made them famous (look Gavin DeGraw); it’s just an unbelievable big family.

I’ve met so many wonderful people because of this show, that are still my friends nowadays.

No show had a wonderful, brilliant, sassy character as Brooke Davis. No show had an amazing , true, real love story as Naley. No show had an incredible storyline of redemption like Dan Scott’s one. No show made you feel like home.134

There is only one Tree Hill. And it’s your home.

I can’t stop myself to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for making me know Bethany Joy Lenz, who I didn’t know before. My number one idol that I always look up to. And for making me know Sophia Bush, such a great, inspiring woman.

I just wanna say that I wouldn’t have fought my battles if it wasn’t for this TV show.

Now, these are my top 3 videos that I made about OTH, hope you’ll like them (if you never saw them):

And my favourite quotes:

At this moment, there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men, that war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. 6 billion people in the world. 6 billion souls. And sometimes, all you need is one

Mouth: Take a look at yourself in a mirror who do you see looking back?
Haley: Is it the person you want to be?
Dan: Or is there someone else you were meant to be the person you were meant to be but fell short of?
Mia: Is someone telling you you can’t or won’t? Because you can.
Chase: Believe that love is out there.
Nathan: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Peyton: Sometimes happiness doesn’t come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from good friends and family and the quiet nobility of leading a good life.
Julian: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Brooke: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Peyton: So take a look in that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be. Believe that.
Lucas: And believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.

I’ve come to the conclusion that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to is a measure of a successful life, then some would say I’m a failure. The important thing is not to be bitter over life’s disappointments. Learn to let go of the past. And recognize that every day won’t be sunny, and when you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair, remember it’s only in the black of night you see the stars. And those stars will lead you back home. So don’t be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, cause most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you’ll get everything you wish for. Maybe you’ll get more than you ever could have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination.

It’s the oldest story in the world. One day you’re 17 and planning for someday. And then quietly and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life.

Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it’s a lot like your world, maybe it’s nothing like it. But if you look closer, you might see someone like you. Someone trying to find their way. Someone trying to find their place. Someone trying to find their self. Sometimes it seems like you are the only one in the world who’s struggling, who’s frustrated, or unsatisfied, or barely getting by. But that feeling’s a lie. And if you just hold on, just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find you and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes. Someone to help us hear the music in the world, to remind us that it won’t always be this way. That someone is out there. And that someone will find you.

I wanted you to fight for me! I wanted you to say there is no one else that you could ever be with and that you would rather be alone than without me. I wanted the Lucas Scott from the beach that night; telling the world that he’s the one for me.

That’s what I’m afraid of. Not being enough. Not good enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough.

You wanna know what I think? I think you do love me or you could love me, but you’re just too stubborn and scared to admit it because the last time you gave your heart to someone, it got broken. And I get that, I’ve been there, but somewhere along the line you gave up on the idea that you deserve to feel this way again.

Every song has a CODA, a final movement. Whether it fades out or crashes away. Every song ends. Is that any reason not to enjoy the music? The truth is, there is nothing to be afraid of. It’s just life.

It all just seems so fake. This idea that good things happen to good people and there’s magic in the world, and that the meek and righteous will inherit it. There’s too many good people who suffer for something like that to be true. There are too many prayers that go unanswered. Every day we ignore how completely broken this world is, and we tell ourselves that it’s all going to be okay, “You’re going to be okay.” But it’s not okay. And once you know that, there’s no going back. There’s no magic in the world at least today there isn’t.

We’re all crazy, Hales. Some of us just hide it better than others.

And let me stop or I’ll keep going forever. Seriously, the writing of this show it’s unbelievable.

Once a TreeHillers, Always a TreeHillers!

The little show that could,

Orlando Pulse shooting: Tony Marrero’s story

One thing of America TV programs is that they have plenty of this talk show: we have morning talk show, afternoon talk show, late talk show, late late talk show.

Some of them are nice and good and I like to watch them on YT, even if I am from the other part of the world.

Well, a lot of people knows Ellen DeGeneres, a lot doesn’t (I know, it’s weird!)

Anyway, she just started her 14th SEASON! That’s a lot of them, she is one of my favourite host, she is funny and kind. She knows how to ask difficult questions, she helps SO many people, SO many that it’s unbelievable.

Every episode she gives something to someone, in the audience or charity. And she always ends the episodes saying “Be kind to one another”.

This time, she interviewed one of the survivors of the shooting happened in Orlando back in June. The story of this guy is heartbreaking, I dare you to watch the interview without crying, cause I saw it twice and I was bawling.

Tony Marrero’s story is so inspiring, you know there is a quote that says “When you fall you have two options: you either stay down or get back up and work harder” ? Well, his story is the fact that he had the strength to keep it going. To stay strong till someone was gonna rescue him.

He really is so inspiring, you all should watch the interview that I am gonna post at the end of this.

Tony Marrero was shot 4 times in his back and he had to pretend to be dead and waited for a policeman to guide him through the exit because he couldn’t get up and the police officer couldn’t just take him out since the shooter was still inside, so Tony had to drag himself out.

Ellen heard about his story and invited him to the show and not only that, Katy Perry’s song Rise helped Tony a lot, during everything he went through.

Of course, Ellen brought Katy into the show too. And an amazing moment was for Tony.

Life is short, you never know when someone will drag you down, and if someone like Tony got through everything, still fighting and recovering is everything. We all can do it.
